Cresta Hotels Embarks on 2025 “See Botswana Differently” Roadshow

Cape Town, South Africa: Cresta Marakanelo Limited (CML) recently embarked on its 2025 instalment of the ‘See Botswana Differently’ themed MD’s Roadshow, a South Africa focused event aimed at attracting the leisure market to their chain of hotels across Botswana. The Roadshow events aim to invite the global audience to experience the various dimensions to Botswana.

Officially opening the events this past week, the CML Managing Director Mokwena Morulane noted that Cresta Hotels had the largest geographical footprint in Botswana and was thus in a prime position to offer guests a diverse perspective into the country.

“Cresta Hotels offers a unique value proposition to our guests through our ‘authentic African’ positioning of our tourism product. As a Company with a proud Botswana heritage, our brand is rich with the essence of Botswana, making us best placed to make this invitation for the world to come and experience Botswana from our hotels,” added Morulane.

“We have a pipeline of planned product improvement projects which will be introduced at Cresta Mowana in Chobe, as well as at Cresta Riley’s and Cresta Maun in Maun, during the course of the year. We have also partnered with excursion providers in these destinations to augment our leisure offerings with activities such as night game drives and dinner cruises in Kasane, as well as basket weaving, scenic flights and cultural village tours in Maun. All these initiatives are aimed at further enhancing the end-to-end leisure experience for our guests, and to ensure that Cresta Hotels remains the foremost leisure and hospitality provider in Botswana,” Morulane highlighted.

The MD’s Roadshow is an annual fixture in the CML calendar, in which the CML Managing Director travels to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, to engage with the Group’s key stakeholders and trade partners, to update them on developments across the Group and explore further areas of collaboration with the Company.

Cresta Marakanelo Limited (CML) is the operating company for the 11 Cresta Hotels in Botswana, and has been listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2010. The Company was formed in 1987 with an initial portfolio of less than 290 rooms and to date the group manages an inventory of around 1000 rooms in Botswana.
