During his speech, Mokwena Morulane, the Managing Director of Cresta Marakanelo Limited, expressed his excitement about the new development, saying, "This journey started some 22 months ago in February 2022, with a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the commencement of this project. The Managing Director also highlighted the strategic importance of the expansion, stating, "The result, as you see it, is a 60-roomed, aesthetically modern extension wing, which includes 2 of the finest presidential suites in this market, 2 executive suites, a paraplegic-friendly room, and 55 deluxe rooms, all with enhanced, innovative technologies to suit the business or leisure requirements of today."
In addition to the new wing, Morulane shared the company's broader vision for growth, revealing ongoing and upcoming investments in various properties across Botswana. He emphasized Cresta Marakanelo Limited's commitment to becoming "a Dominant Mid-Scale Hotel Group in Southern Africa" and outlined plans for technological advancements, including the implementation of a new cloud-based property management system.
