Cresta Mowana Announces New Guest Experiences for 2026
Against the backdrop of Cresta’s annual Managing Director’s Roadshow in Johannesburg and Cape Town, Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa unveiled a series of guest experience enhancements designed to elevate its standing as one of Botswana’s most distinctive safari and leisure destinations.
Presented to tourism partners, corporate clients, and travel stakeholders during the South African engagements, these developments form part of Cresta Marakanelo Limited’s broader vision to position its flagship properties as gateways to authentic African experiences — where refined comfort meets culture, nature, and timeless safari elegance.
Set along the legendary Chobe River in Kasane, Cresta Mowana continues to evolve beyond traditional safari hospitality, introducing experiences that deepen cultural connection while enhancing the sense of place and understated luxury for which the destination is renowned.
Ku Muzi Boma: A New Cultural Heartbeat

Here, guests will enjoy traditional cuisine, live cultural performances, and fireside storytelling, offering a rich, sensory journey into Botswana’s heritage and rhythms.
Rooted in the essence of community and shared moments, Ku Muzi Boma adds an authentic cultural dimension to the resort experience, transforming evenings into memorable encounters rich in tradition, warmth, and connection.

Resort Refurbishment Programme
Complementing this addition is a comprehensive refurbishment programme designed to refresh guest rooms, modernise public spaces, and enhance the overall ambience and flow of the resort.
The enhancements preserve Cresta Mowana’s natural charm while introducing refined modern comforts tailored to discerning leisure travellers, tour groups, corporate retreats, and celebratory escapes.
Commenting on the developments during the roadshow, Mokwena Morulane, Managing Director of Cresta Marakanelo Limited, said:
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and delivering meaningful guest experiences. Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa plays a vital role in showcasing Botswana’s natural beauty and cultural richness, and these developments ensure we continue to meet the evolving expectations of today’s traveller.”
With Botswana firmly in the spotlight during Cresta’s South African engagements, these enhancements position Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa not merely as a place to stay, but as a destination where refined comfort, cultural authenticity, and the wild landscapes of Chobe converge.
